Have you ever felt let down by a Disney World snack? No? Just us? Well, get ready because we’re about to embark on a brief but spirited adventure. One beloved snack at Disney World was the Buffalo Chicken Chips at Trilo-Bites in Animal Kingdom. So naturally, we were disappointed when Disney announced Trilo-Bites would close along with the rest of DinoLand.
When Disney promised the chips would return at Eight Spoon Café, we were thrilled! However, upon discovering the Buffalo Chicken Chips had changed, we had to see for ourselves. Turns out, they're definitely different, and here’s our full review.
Back at Trilo-Bites, these chips were described as “seasoned house-made chips topped with pulled buffalo chicken, arugula, crunchy diced celery, diced tomatoes, and lots of bleu cheese dressing.” They sounded—and tasted—amazing! But now, at Eight Spoon Café, the chips are “kettle chips served with buffalo chicken topped with tangy Italian relish and blue cheese,” which is quite a shift in flavor profile.
We found the new chips were not house-made anymore and had less structural integrity, requiring a fork to eat. Although the tangy chicken remains delicious, we miss the simplicity of the original version. While still a great snack, the changes left us craving the classic Buffalo Chicken Chips.
