We know we’ve got a lot of cruisers who read Disney Food Blog, whether that be those who book Disney Cruises or those who book cruises with other cruise companies or both, which means we like to share cruise news with you when we can.

So here’s the thing: Royal Caribbean has a massive new ship called Legend of the Seas, which took its first voyage, a 7-Night Western Mediterranean itinerary, recently. Well, now, we’ve finally got a first look at what this ship looks like.
Legend of the Seas is the third icon class ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet, but the first icon class ship to sail in Europe. It can handle a capacity of around 5,600 passengers with double occupancy. It’s literally like a floating city with various neighborhoods with things like a water park, skywalks, surf simulators, pools, restaurants, and more. It’s HUGE. USA Today recently posted a first look at the ship.

Here’s a look down at the other decks and straight down into one of the gigantic pools.

It’s also got a vibrant and colorful theme going on. It looks like so much fun! But it also has nice places to just relax, like this lovely on-ship garden, which is part of the ship’s Central Park neighborhood.

Here’s one of the many dining areas on the ship.

The ship has a total of eight neighborhoods, each with its own theme.

The neighborhoods include a kid-friendly area called Surfside…

…and the Royal Promenade.

Now, let’s talk about the most important thing: dining. Restaurants include a train station-themed restaurant…

…and an old Hollywood-themed supper club.

There will also be new shows on the ship.

Legend of the Seas seems impressive enough. Bookings are available now! We’ll keep an eye out for more cruise news, too, so stay tuned to Magical Guides for more.
