When we’re in EPCOT craving a snack, the Japan Pavilion is our go-to spot. Where else in Disney World can you get sushi, sake, and kakigōri all in one place?

We love the quick-service stand Kabuki Cafe for a quick, authentic meal, but recently, we saw a new menu item that shook us to our core – you can now get quick-service wagyu in Disney World!

The A5 Wagyu Nigiri Combo is $16.50 at Kabuki Cafe. It includes four pieces of California Roll and three pieces of A5 Japanese Wagyu Nigiri.

The California Roll is your classic avocado crab roll. This is the same as the regular California Roll on the menu, which is made with avocado, cucumber, imitation crab, mayonnaise, and smelt roe. It’s very fresh thanks to the cucumber, and packed with earthy avocado and savory crab.

But the real star of the show? The wagyu! The meat itself is chewy and lightly salted for flavor. The tender texture of the wagyu paired well with the crispy rice. There’s also a thin sauce on this. At first, we thought it might be eel sauce, but when we tried it on its own, it tasted salty, similar to steak sauce. Regardless, it really enhanced the flavor, making this a tasty yet complex nigiri.
