EPCOT has become a beloved destination for Disney adults, and everyone has their own favorite. For many, it’s the Mexico Pavilion, but some guests are getting annoyed for good reason.

Mexico Pavilion
There are plenty of unspoken rules at Disney World. Don’t stop in the middle of a busy walkway, keep your stroller to one side when possible, and maybe don’t cut in front of someone. But there’s one habit we keep seeing in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion that has Disney Adults collectively sighing every single day. We get it — this pavilion is beautiful, packed with incredible details, and full of things worth stopping to admire. But if you’re going to pause, just make sure you’re not doing it in one of the busiest bottlenecks in the entire park.
The entrance to the Mexico Pavilion is one of the busiest spots in World Showcase. Guests are heading in to ride Gran Fiesta Tour, grabbing a table at San Angel Inn Restaurante, or shopping for souvenirs. When people stop directly in front of the pyramid entrance to chat, check the My Disney Experience app, take a family meeting, or decide where to go next, everything behind them slows down.
Crowds at Mexico
Before long, you’ve got dozens of people trying to squeeze around one stationary group, and what should be a smooth flow of traffic becomes an unexpected traffic jam. The pyramid isn’t going anywhere. If you need a minute to regroup, simply step off to the side where you’re out of the main path.
The inside of the pyramid is one of the most immersive places in EPCOT, but it also isn’t exactly known for its wide walkways. Between the shopping area, restaurant entrance, ride queue, and guests exploring the marketplace, space is already at a premium. That’s why large groups stopping shoulder-to-shoulder in the middle of the shopping area can bring traffic to a complete standstill.

We completely understand wanting to admire the merchandise or decide what drink from La Cava del Tequila to order, but when an entire group spreads across the walkway, everyone else ends up annoyed and trying to go around you. Take a look, browse the displays, grab what catches your eye, and then continue exploring from a spot that’s a little less crowded. You’ll still get to enjoy everything the pavilion has to offer without accidentally creating a human roadblock.
Gran Fiesta Tour
Disney World is busy, especially in EPCOT, and everyone shares the same walkways. Small acts of courtesy like stepping aside before stopping or keeping your group from blocking narrow paths can make a surprisingly big difference in everyone’s day.
