Can you believe it? Festival of the Arts is right around the corner; we’re only a few days away!

Festival of the Arts
We can’t wait to try the different food items at the food stations, check out all the incredible festival entertainment, and see Figment in the Brush With The Masters Scavenger Hunt (aka we get to wander around EPCOT looking for the purple dragon hidden in famous paintings). However, if you’re planning to head to opening weekend of the festival, you’ll want to pack those jackets, because it’s going to be COLD!
You heard us right, we indeed said cold, because believe it or not, it does still get chilly in Orlando during the winter months (though during the heat of summer, you’d never think it was possible). According to News 6, temperatures are going to fall below average beginning around today, Monday. You may have noticed the wind was a little more intense than normal yesterday, which was to kick out the fog that was lingering.

Now, fortunately, temperatures aren’t going to drop too horribly, but Saturday was a high of 85 degrees, Sunday was 79 degrees, today will be 69 degrees, and by the time we get to Friday, we’re looking at 69-degree weather. This colder weather, though? It’s going to stick around for a little while, as meteorologists aren’t expecting to see 70 and 80-degree temperatures for a little while.

This Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll be seeing some much-needed rain, so if you’re heading down this week, be sure to pack those umbrellas and ponchos in your bag. Trust us, the last thing you want is to be stuck in a rainstorm in the middle of the park, where you have to be tucked under cover or inside a store instead of moving to your next experience. Throw on that poncho and don’t be afraid to walk in the rain!
