REVIEW: These $18 Churros Are Changing the Game at Disney World (And, We’re HERE For It)

Disney World isn’t all hot dogs and pretzels, and if that’s all you’re eating, you might be missing out on some fantastic meals. There are some great restaurants across Disney World property, including a variety of signature restaurants where you can try high-end offerings. You’ve probably heard of some of the most famous of these spots, like California Grill and Le Cellier, but other top-notch restaurants are HIDING around property. And recently, we visited Disney World’s fanciest hotel to eat at a spot you probably haven’t heard of.


Four Seasons Orlando


Who wants to go to the Four Seasons Orlando? Meeeeee! The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is located on Disney World property inside the Golden Oak neighborhood, but it’s not owned by Disney. We visited their fine-dining restaurant Capa back in 2023, but we’ve been so busy trying other new restaurants that we haven’t been back since. So when our editor suggested we go back, we lit up like the viral Four Seasons Baby. Is Capa still worth a stop on your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Let’s find out!

Atmosphere​

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is one of the priciest places you can stay in Disney World, with standard rooms often costing more than $1000 per night. Along with that fancy price tag comes some very fancy amenities, including a 17th-floor rooftop steakhouse called Capa.

The space has tons of indoor seating, with both booths and tables available. The rooftop terrace is the star of the show, though, which we requested for a reason. We were able to see both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios from our table, and if we had eaten a later dinner, we could’ve seen fireworks from the parks!

But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!

Menu​

This Spanish-influenced steakhouse offers fresh Florida seafood, high-quality beef, and small plates to try an array of items.

The dessert menu is more heavily Spanish-influenced, where you’ll find churros, gazpacho, and dulce de leche, among some more traditional Spanish desserts.

And now, onto the main event — the food!

Eats​

First up, we grabbed the Croquetas for $14. This is made with Jamón Serrano (dry-cured Spanish ham), bechamel sauce, and onion soubise.

These Croquetas had a crispy outside with a fluffy interior. They were filled with salty ham, creamy bechamel, herb oil, and sweet onions, so they were super flavorful and strong. Our only complaint is that we wish we had more, because we could eat 10 in one sitting – they’re that good!

For our entree, we got the New York Strip for $68. This is a 12-ounce prime steak from Creekstone Farms Premium Beef in Arkansas City, Kansas.

This New York Strip was melt-in-your-mouth tender and flavorful. It’s served with caramelized onions on top, which were sweet and umami and perfectly complemented the high-quality meat. This is a large enough serving size to share, but we don’t blame you if you’re keeping it all for yourself!

And for dessert, we finished with the Churros De Madrid for $18. These are churros served with chocolate and dulcey (blond chocolate) sauces.

These churros are light and fluffy with a crispy fried exterior. They’re coated in vanilla sugar instead of a traditional cinnamon sugar, making the flavor warmer and more unique. The star of the show wasn’t the chocolate sauce, but the Dulcey. It’s creamy with caramel notes similar to dulce de leche, with a pinch of saltiness to add some depth.

Nosh or Not​

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

• You’re looking for a spot with awesome fireworks views. You can see Magic Kingdom AND EPCOT fireworks from this spot since it’s on the 17th-floor rooftop of the Four Seasons. It’s a really unique spot to enjoy the fireworks from.
  
• You want a top-of-the-line culinary experience. Some of the food we’ve had here has truly been absolutely FANTASTIC. This is a Spanish-influenced steakhouse with steaks, seafood, tapas, charcuterie, cheese, and more. If you’re looking for a high-quality meal, you will find it here.
  
• You’re looking for a special place to celebrate a special occasion. If you’re celebrating something, Capa can be a great place to include in your plans. The menu has plenty of options and the views are spectacular — all in all, it makes for a special experience.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

• You’re trying to save money and eat at cheaper restaurants. Meals here can be EXPENSIVE. Expect to drop a LOT of money on your experience here. If it’s cheap or budget-friendly restaurants you’re after, this might not be the best bet.
  
• You don’t have a car and want to use Disney transportation ONLY on your trip. This spot is in the Four Seasons hotel, and Disney transportation does NOT operate within there. You’ll need to arrange your own transportation to get there — i.e., use a rideshare service or use your own car. If you were just hoping to take Disney buses. boats, the monorail, etc. to dinner, that won’t work here.
• You are traveling with really picky eaters. While the menu is extensive and there is PLENTY to pick from, if you’ve got a super, super picky eater in the group who only eats chicken tenders and fries, this experience may be lost on them. There are chicken tenders and fries on the menu (in the kids menu), but the experience as a whole may simply not be “worth it” for those who don’t necessarily care about getting a super high-quality dish for their meal.

Overall​

All in all, our dinner at Capa was absolutely phenomenal. They put a lot of care into the flavor combinations and the quality of ingredients chosen for this meal. We would definitely recommend this meal to someone looking for a fine-dining experience with a spectacular view. Just check out the sunset from the patio!
