We typically keep a sharp eye on Disney parks and the latest happenings, but we're also tuned into other Orlando theme parks, as they often influence one another.
This week brought some BIG news from Orlando parks. One update impacts trips today, while others could make you plan future visits. Trust us, you won't want to ignore this!
If you're heading to Disney World soon, be aware that TRON Lightcycle / Run looks different now, thanks to a special TRON: Ares overlay for the upcoming film!
Instead of its usual blue hue, the ride is now a bold red, including the lightcycle wheels and launch area for an enhanced feel. There's also new music in the attraction, making it a fresh experience. We highly recommend checking it out!

The bigger news comes from outside Disney parks. Dollywood has thrilled guests with the announcement of a groundbreaking ride in 2026! The NightFlight Expedition, set for Spring 2026, is a hybrid coaster and whitewater river ride uncovering the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake.
Guided by Cora and Jasper Oakley, riders will explore “remarkable vehicles” through four storylines: Soaring over the Smokies, Climbing a mountainside, Plunging into rapids, and Navigating a mysterious lake. Fully indoor, this 5.5-minute adventure is unaffected by weather.
While Dollywood is nestled in Tennessee's Smoky Mountains, it may attract those seeking alternatives during Disney World refurbishments.

Not to be outdone, SeaWorld Orlando has announced their own new ride for 2026. The SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep is an immersive dark ride diving beneath the sea. Part submersible adventure, riders will discover dazzling ecosystems with the guidance of the SEA Collective's Adventure Team.
