While the holiday tunes might echo "it's the most wonderful time of the year," theme park enthusiasts buzz about IAAPA! The IAAPA Expo, an annual trade show organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, ran from November 17-21 in Orlando. Major players like Legoland and SeaWorld unveiled exciting updates.
Among the highlights, Legoland Florida revealed more about Galacticoaster arriving in 2026. This space-themed ride promises speeds up to 40 mph and offers customization options for its four-passenger vehicles, allowing guests to personalize their spacecraft with 620 decorative combinations. The added feature of projecting riders onto screens before launch is a thrilling twist!
SeaWorld introduced the ride vehicle for SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep, labeling it their most ambitious ride. This suspended attraction provides a 360-degree oceanic experience, with the innovative design making riders feel as if they're flying underwater. SeaWorld hopes this unique experience will attract global visitors.
Other exciting rides premiered at IAAPA include:
- Dollywood's Nightlight Expedition, a hybrid coaster/raft ride with breath-taking views of the Smoky Mountains.
- Six Flags Over Texas's Tormenta Rampaging Run, a dive coaster featuring B&M ride vehicles.
