NEW Travel Advisory Issued for Americans

We have an updated travel advisory to share with you.


Airplane travel


If you are planning a trip to Egypt, here’s everything you need to know.


Since July 15th, 2025, Egypt has been under a Level 2 Advisory, suggesting that travelers exercise increased caution. However, recently, several areas within Egypt have been increased to a Level 4 – Do Not Travel Advisory.


Air Travel


These areas include the Northern and Middle Sinai Peninsula, the Western Desert, and the Egyptian Border Areas. These locations have been labeled Level 4 due to military presence, terrorism, and safety concerns for travelers. Especially as emergency and intensive care facilities are limited and at times unavailable in remote areas.


Flying


If you decide to travel to Egypt, it is recommended that you do the following:

• Keep travel documents updated and easily accessible.
• Have contingency plans to leave the country without assistance from the U.S government.
• Check conditions and all local laws before travel.
• Avoid crowds, protests, and demonstrations.
• Stay alert.
