A new hotel might be under development near the eastern part of Disney World in Kissimmee, close to the US-192 corridor, as reported by the Orlando Business Journal.
Common Oak Engineering LLC has filed plans for a 9,750-square-foot hotel with on-site parking at the southwestern corner of N. Poinciana Blvd. and Kissimmee Vineland Road. The land, bought for $462,500 in 2013, is currently owned by Real Global Investments LLC of Illinois. Details remain sparse, as Common Oak Engineering hasn't provided additional comments.
Hospitality market expert Chatal Wu suggests the property plans indicate a small hotel build. She notes that while a hotel room usually ranges between 250 to 400 square feet, the proposed square footage might yield about 30 rooms with public spaces, though the total lot size could accommodate a 100- to 200-room hotel. Its location near Disney World, and within reach of SeaWorld and Universal Studios via I-4, adds to its potential appeal.
In 2023, the area saw the opening of three large hotels within the Epic Universe: Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Universal Helios Grand Hotel.
