Carnival Cruise Line is currently facing a lawsuit from a Florida man suing for 5 million dollars, after being injured on a cruise back in May of last year.

He claims to have received second-degree burns while on the ship. Let’s see everything we know about this case and the lawsuit against Carnival.
While on the Carnival Magic last year, this passenger allegedly received second-degree burns on his feet after walking only 20 steps across the hot pool deck. The lawsuit accuses Carnival of not properly warning its guests of the deck temperature or having measures in place to ensure that the deck does not reach temperatures that could harm guests.

According to the lawsuit, the passenger in question received a ” severe and life-changing injury.” The 5 million dollar compensation is meant to cover medical expenses and lost earnings, as well as the mental struggle of experiencing this injury.

According to the lawsuit, Carnival has had at least 25 similar injuries, as well as 42 other complaints, over the past six years about a hot deck before this lawsuit. Carnival has not publicly commented on this lawsuit.
