Another Disney World attraction is closing this week!
The Boneyard in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is saying goodbye for good on September 2nd, 2025. While it may not have been the top attraction, we’ll surely miss exploring it with friends and family. What are your memories of The Boneyard?
Elsewhere, Spaceship Earth in EPCOT is closed for routine maintenance and will be back later this year. At Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is also temporarily shut down for upgrades, with exciting new features expected upon reopening in 2026.
In a more final closure, the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are permanently closing to make way for a new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo are closed for construction of a new Monsters, Inc. land. But not to worry, the Muppets will reappear in 2026 as they take over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
It’s tough seeing so many changes, but I’m excited to see what’s next. Which closure hits you hardest, or what new attraction are you looking forward to most? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
