The Boneyard playground in Disney World has closed permanently. We've experienced several closures in Disney World recently, such as Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Belle Riverboat, and parts of DinoLand U.S.A. have begun shutting down as well. Now, the beloved Boneyard playground in DinoLand U.S.A. has closed to make way for a new land based on the Tropical Americas.

The new area will feature attractions inspired by Encanto, Indiana Jones, and include a fresh playground. DinoLand U.S.A., which debuted in 1998, has seen its share of wear, and Disney has long considered revitalizing it. With this development, Pueblo Esperanza will replace the DinoLand area.

With the closure, we bid farewell to many cherished moments at The Boneyard, with its engaging ropes and slides. Unfortunately, the Dig Site, where children had the opportunity to dig for dinosaur bones, is also shut down. However, the closure reminds us to look forward to the exciting new offerings in the revamped area.

There’s still time to enjoy Restaurantosaurus and the Dinosaur ride before they also close. How do you feel about these changes? Will you miss DinoLand U.S.A., or are you excited for what's to come? Share your thoughts with us!
