As a Magical Guides reporter, I spent a LOT of time in Magic Kingdom, day after day. So I know what you actually need for the park and what you can leave at home.

Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle

At Magic Kingdom, you can end up walking over ten miles, and trust me, you need a reliable pair of shoes. You want shoes that you have already broken in ahead of time, but that are still in great condition. You want shoes that are supportive and comfortable, but lightweight.

Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers
I wear my Hoka Clifton 10s all day at the parks, and my feet feel so much better. These are lightweight but very supportive. When you’re walking miles and miles around all day, you need shoes that are going to last you, and these do that.
It gets HOT at Disney World. While there are some shady spots at Magic Kingdom, it is always helpful to have a breeze that you can control. Whether you’re in line for a ride or needing to take a break indoors from the heat, having a handheld fan can keep you from overheating.

JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan
The JISULIFE 3-in-1 Handheld Mini Fan has come in handy for us while in the parks. It might be small, but it’s mighty at keeping us cool. It can also be used as a portable power bank and a flashlight.
You will be on your phone a LOT while in Magic Kingdom. Between taking photos and videos and checking wait times, your phone battery will drain fast. You don’t want to be stuck with a dead phone at 1 PM with the rest of the day ahead of you.
FuelRod
Our favorite portable charger are FuelRods. There are kiosks throughout all of Disney World where you can swap out your dead FuelRod for a new one for FREE. So no need to stress every night about recharging it, you simply head to a kiosk and swap it out for a fully charged new one.
You might want to come home from Disney World with a lot of things, but you don’t want to come home sick. The number of things you touch at Magic Kingdom… let’s just say there are a LOT of germs. So having hand sanitizer that you have easy access to is essential.

Touchland and Disney Hand Sanitizer + Mist Case
The Touchland & Disney Special Edition Hand Sanitizer + Mist Case is cute as can be with its mist case complete with Mickey ears, and Mickey on the front of the hand sanitizer case itself! This is one fluid ounce of Wild Watermelon hydrating hand sanitizer, which has notes of jasmine petals and peaches, reminding you of summer. The case comes with a key ring that makes it easy to attach to bags, lanyards, and more, and we do like that the case allows you to see how much hand sanitizer is actually left.
You need to stay hydrated at Magic Kingdom, and while you can get free water from quick service locations, having a refillable bottle to put them in will keep you from stopping every 20 minutes for more water. You want a bottle that will keep your water cold and one that is easy to carry around.

Little Mermaid Owala
We recommend using a refillable water bottle like this Owala one! We have tested the Owala bottle in the parks, and it keeps our water cool. It’s also not super heavy to carry around — plus this one is Ariel themed, so it’s great for Disney World.
Yes, you’re in sunny Florida, and yes, you need to protect your skin. You want to be sure to reapply throughout the day to keep protected.

Supergoop!
For example, we’ve really been enjoying this Supergoop! Sunscreen, and maybe it could be the one for you! It’s effective at protecting your skin. It fits perfectly, even in a fanny pack. And it’s typically less expensive than picking up the option you find in the parks.
