We just got off the Disney Adventure for its inaugural sailing and got to explore all the dining, entertainment, and experiences there are onboard!
Marvel Style Studio
The ship has multiple different themed areas, and there’s a heavy emphasis on Marvel all over the ship. Not only can you dine with some of your favorite characters and meet some of the heroes you love, but as it turns out, you can also visit one location to turn into a hero you love. Well, okay…sorta? It’s a long story, just bear with us.
Marvel Style Studio is located on Deck 6, near Town Square, and is where kids, tweens, teens, and adults of all ages can visit the Avengers Tower-inspired salon to become one of their favorite Marvel characters. Makeovers include Marvel-inspired hair, makeup, and/or costumes, and you’ll find numerous different packages available.
We’re here!
Heroes included in the experience are Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, and more. Reservations are required for this spot and may fill up fast, so as soon as your cruise has been paid for in full and your booking window opens, you can make your reservation. Reservations can also be made on the day of your departure, but space is not guaranteed to be available.
So much to see!
We went ahead and tried out this experience and…let’s just say it was interesting! We did get pretty comprehensive Ghost Spider makeup done, including a little bit of white in our hair, and people stared at us and took photos pretty much everywhere we went on the ship (it’s not every day you see a grown adult in face paint, after all). The makeup was a little scary, if we’re being honest, but it was fun and certainly resembled Ghost Spider.
The different options available
We think this is especially fun for kiddos if they love Marvel! Keep in mind, though, that before you arrive, your hair must be combed or brushed through, and you must be free of any scalp or skin conditions that may impact or interrupt the experience. For the adults who want to check out this spot but don’t want a makeover, it’ll turn into a refined lounge at select times, where adults can enjoy unique beverage-tasting sessions. However, dates and times haven’t been released just yet.
Yes, this spot becomes a lounge too!
We’re glad we got to check it out, and while we think everyone should find time to poke their head in and see what’s going on, we don’t think it’s a must-do, per se.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on all the latest Disney Adventure news and reviews, so stay tuned to Magical Guides!
