Picking just one must-do ride in Magic Kingdom is no easy task, but Pirates of the Caribbean would definitely make it to the top of the list! This timeless attraction is beloved for its captivating theme song, memorable characters, and nods to a popular movie series—it truly captivates a diverse audience.
However, a word of caution: if someone in your group gets cold feet at the last minute, there could be a hiccup. Unlike many Disney rides, Pirates of the Caribbean lacks a "chicken exit" for those who wish to leave the line last minute. Instead, you need to retrace your steps all the way back through the entire queue.
The good news is that this ride doesn’t have a height requirement, so it's family-friendly. Be aware, though, it might be a little spooky for kids who fear darkness, skeletons, or pirates. There's a small drop at the start and random water cannons, which could be startling!
If Pirates isn't your thing but your group is eager to go, consider hanging around outside. Explore the gift shop, enjoy a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle, or dive into "A Pirate’s Adventures: Treasures of the Seven Seas" nearby.
