When we’re at Disneyland, we love hopping on the Disneyland Railroad and taking a joyride around the park. There are so many amazing sights to see between New Orleans Square, ToonTown, and, of course, Main Street, U.S.A.

But when we rode the Disneyland railroad yesterday, we noticed that one of our favorite scenes looks totally different!
We love the dinosaur scene of the Disneyland Railroad, where you can see Triceratops, T-rexes, and goats exploring the wilderness. But when we rode yesterday, this area was gone!

The scenes have now all been covered by a black tarp, and there are only cardboard cutouts of our favorite animals! It was a pretty disappointing ride compared to what we’re used to. You can watch our ride-through here:
Currently, Disneyland has a long list of closures! The following rides are closed or closing for refurbishment this summer:

- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters — Closed April 13, 2026; Anticipated Reopening Date: June 12, 2026
- Pirates of the Caribbean — Closed May 4, 2026; Anticipated Reopening Date: Not yet known
- King Arthur Carrousel — Closing July 6, 2026; Anticipated Reopening Date: July 17, 2026
- Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition — Closing July 6, 2026; Anticipated Reopening Date: Not yet known
- Matterhorn Bobsleds — Closing July 20, 2026; Anticipated Reopening Date: Not yet known
