Magic Kingdom is a top destination, especially during the holidays. With its iconic Cinderella Castle, charming Main St., U.S.A., and beloved rides, it's what comes to mind when many start planning a Disney World trip.

One key thing to plan for is how you'll get there. Unlike other Disney World parks, you can't park right by the entrance. You can take a Monorail from nearby hotels, hop on a bus, or park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and then take a Ferry or Monorail. But if you're using the TTC in the coming months, be aware of some changes affecting the Ferry.

Recently, one of our reporters visited Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and found the Ferry ride to be quite chillier than anticipated! The travel time between the Ferry and Monorail is about the same, but during the winter, the Ferry can be downright cold. In fact, during the holiday season, the temperature can drop significantly at night, making the open-water Ferry ride really frigid post-party. Be sure to layer up if you choose to ride the Ferry in the colder months!

When planning a trip to Magic Kingdom this winter, keep this in mind and pack accordingly!

Do you enjoy taking the Ferry to Magic Kingdom? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
