Disney Springs is supposed to be the easygoing part of Disney World, but lately, a couple of things have been making it a bit less chill.
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is still one of our favorite places to spend an afternoon or evening at Disney World. Between the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, it’s usually a pretty low-stress spot compared to the parks. But recently we’ve noticed a couple of new issues popping up that might catch you off guard if you’re not prepared.
If you’re a Disney pin collector, you probably already know that Tuesdays have become a pretty big deal at Disney Springs.
Disney Pins
That’s because several stores release new pins on Tuesdays, which has created a weekly event that a lot of collectors now plan their trips around. While that’s great for fans of the hobby, it also means the lines at certain stores have gotten seriously long.
Pin Trading in Disney Springs
World of Disney and Pin Traders can see lines form well before the stores even open for the day, especially when a particularly popular collection drops. We’ve seen crowds gather early in the morning with guests hoping to snag the newest designs before they sell out.

If you happen to wander into Disney Springs on a Tuesday without realizing what’s happening, you might be surprised by the crowd levels around those locations. What normally feels like a casual shopping stop can suddenly feel more like a limited-release event.
Line Outside World of Disney
Our biggest tip is simple. If you’re not planning to buy pins, you may want to avoid those stores early in the day on Tuesdays. And if you are hoping to grab a new release, showing up right at opening time can make a huge difference.
Another spot where things have been getting a little tricky lately is the security checkpoint near the Disney Resort bus drop-off area.
Disney Springs Bus Station
When you arrive at Disney Springs by bus, you’ll head toward a dedicated security screening area before entering the main part of the shopping district. In theory, it’s convenient because it’s right by the transportation hub. In practice, it can sometimes get pretty backed up.
It can get as backed up as the security line at Lime Garage
If several buses arrive around the same time, that line can build quickly. And if you’re not moving toward security right after stepping off your bus, you might find yourself waiting longer than expected. We’ve noticed that the checkpoint tends to move quickly once you’re in line, but the bottleneck happens when large groups arrive at once. It’s especially noticeable during busy evenings and weekends when Disney Springs is already packed.
Disney Springs can get pretty busy!
One interesting detail we’ve noticed is that this checkpoint can be surprisingly sensitive compared to others around Disney World. The same bag that sails through security at the parks sometimes gets flagged here, which can add an extra minute or two to the process. None of this is a huge deal, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind when planning your arrival. If you’re heading to Disney Springs for a dining reservation or a specific shopping stop, giving yourself a little extra time can help you avoid feeling rushed.
Disney Springs
Disney Springs is still one of the best places to hang out at Disney World, but these two hiccups have definitely been popping up more often lately.
As always, we’ll keep watching what’s happening around the resort and sharing the latest tips and updates to help you plan your visit, so stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog.
