Southwest Airlines, your devotion to change isn't sitting well with everyone lately. Many were divided over ditching the open seating for assigned seats, but the end of free checked bags really got customers riled up (I've got my own opinions on that one too). Yet, there’s a new change that might win us over.
If you're a fan of Peet’s Coffee, rejoice! Starting August 13th, Peet’s becomes the official in-flight coffee partner for Southwest, and yes, it's still free. So even if you're grumbling about those new bag fees, you can at least cheer yourself up with a cup of quality coffee.
Those fees, though, huh? You can avoid them by booking premium fares that include a checked bag, holding a Rapid Rewards credit card, or reaching Elite status. Looks like not all doors are closing just yet, and at least the coffee is something to look forward to.
I'm eager to hear what you think—do you like the new direction Southwest is heading? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
