We’re still raving about our experience on the Disney Adventure, Disney’s newest ship that sails out of Singapore.

We’re dining with Mickey and Minnie

One of the aspects of sailing that really impressed us, other than the incredible atmosphere and theming of the ship, was all the dining options. There are so many restaurants to explore on this ship, it felt a little overwhelming, but when we saw how stunning the Hollywood Spotlight Club was, we knew we had to make time, and WOW are we glad we did!

Hollywood Spotlight Club is themed after the golden age of Hollywood, and that’s reflected in all the incredible details. We walked in, and our jaws immediately dropped — just look at that ceiling! This is part of the rotational dining onboard, which sometimes means the food is good, but not as fantastic as it is at the signature restaurants that require an additional reservation. However, this spot totally surpassed our expectations!

This isn’t just a nice meal, though — it’s also a show! During our meal, there was an incredibly talented vocalist who sang throughout the night, and Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald came to say hello in their Hollywood best. Now, they don’t necessarily stop at each table to take photos, but we did see them come around about 2-3 times so we could wave hello.

Hi, Mickey!

Onto the food, though, this REALLY brought this experience up to an 11. First for us was the Sautéed Maitake Mushrooms. This was rich and would be a veggie lover’s dream! While the mushrooms were small, they were perfectly cooked and very meaty, and while the sesame came through more aromatically, the dashi broth was very balanced. It melted with the sesame to be creamy, especially with the spinach.

Next was the main event, which was the Peppered Filet Mignon, and this was fantastic! In fact, we could not believe that this steak was from a rotational dining spot. It was one of the best steaks we’ve had on Disney Cruise Line as a whole. It was a high-quality cut, had a char on the outside, and was perfectly cooked to the medium rare we requested. The peppercorn sauce was tangy, creamy, and rich, and the vegetables were also cooked well — it totally blew us away!

For dessert, we grabbed the Chocolate Lava Cake, and this was so lava-y it was barely holding itself together, but we mean that as the BIGGEST compliment. It was gooey, rich, and beautifully chocolate-y without being cloying, and the matcha ice cream was a fantastic way to balance it all. It was creamy and light with no graininess at all, just a great green tea flavor.

We couldn’t recommend this spot more, so when you’re on board, and you see this is your rotational dining spot for the night, know you’re in for an absolute treat!
