We mention all the time about how much we love the dining options around Disney Springs, and since there are SO many restaurants, the menus are changing practically every week.

Limited Time menu at The Basket at Wine Bar George!

Wine Bar George is one of our absolute favorite restaurants out there, but sometimes you don’t have time to snag a reservation, or they’re all filled up. In either case, you can stop by The Basket at Wine Bar George, which is the quick service section of this restaurant. You won’t get access to the full menu, but there are some pretty great options to try. That’s especially true now that there’s a NEW limited-time Greek menu — it totally blew our minds!

From March 5th-8th, you can experience this special Greek menu at The Basket at Wine Bar George, and trust us when we say you CANNOT miss it. We snagged three of the special items available and started with the Gyro for only $6!

Gyro

This might be one of the best deals we’ve seen in a long time. This is a full-size gyro with perfectly fluffy pita, delicious, well-grilled lamb, and delicious tzatziki and tomato. It was INCREDIBLE, and for only $6?! We couldn’t believe it!

We were BIG fans!

Next up were the Greek Fries for $10. These were perfectly done seasoned fries topped with tzatziki and dill, and it’s a HUGE portion. It could have easily been shared between three people, so that $10 price tag is incredible when taking that into account. Our only complaint is that there was plenty of tzatziki for the top, but it didn’t go all the way through, so by the time we had fries at the bottom, there wasn’t any there. Other than that, we loved it!

Greek Fries

Finally, we also tried the Frouzo for $16. The ouzo flavor is very prominent in this, so if you’re someone who’s not a fan of strong drinks, this may not be your thing. However, we found it to be delightful with fresh flavors of pineapple and lime to balance the alcohol out. There is a slight anise flavor coming from the ouzo, so if you aren’t a fan of licorice flavor, you might want to skip this. While it is a frozen drink, it didn’t come out overly thick, so if you think you’ll be a fan of the flavor profile but don’t usually enjoy frozen drinks, we suggest still giving it a try!

Frouzo

Overall, we cannot recommend this menu enough, and highly recommend you stop by this weekend to give it a try! We really hope these items will make their way back again in the near future, too, because we’ll be thinking about them for quite some time.
