Listen: I’ve tried a lot of fries in my life. I’ve had them covered in barbecue pork, on the side of buffalo chicken tenders, and absolutely smothered in gravy. Disney World is able to take a classic boat of French fries and transform them into something I’ve never tasted before.

The Daily Poutine

Let me introduce you to a new set of fries that might just be staying at the top of my fries list (and yes, I have one — don’t judge). We’re heading to The Daily Poutine at Disney Springs, which has had some of my favorite fry dishes, to see if these are worth the price.

These are the Steak Frites for $12.99, which are fries topped with flank steak, chimichurri, bearnaise sauce, sweet pepper drops, and grated parmesan.

Look at these bad boys

If you love ordering a steak with fries and dipping them into bernaise sauce, you are going to be obsessed with this (and I also recommend you check out the Steak Frites at Chefs de France in EPCOT for a life-changing cup of the fluffiest bernaise sauce to exist). This whole bowl of fries was SO good. We’ve tried plenty of poutine dishes here before, but these are one of our favorites.

Toppings and toppings

The fries are thick and sturdy enough to get some toppings with them, but you might want to use a fork to eat them. The steak was cooked beautifully, not too chewy or firm, and easy to bite into. We just wish there were more! The whole bowl was very filling, but we felt like the ratio of fries to steak wasn’t quite balanced.

Glorious, glorious fries

The chimichurri sauce brought in some extra flavor and a lovely scent. IT also helped make sure nothing was too dry. It was covered in Parmesan cheese, but it wasn’t overwhelming, just enough to get the flavor in. We especially loved the garlic flavor, and the small peppers on top add some sweetness to a few bites. Overall, this could be an easy-peasy lunch or shareable snack, and we’ll be stopping by again to order them.
