According to some people, there are few better feelings than landing at Orlando International Airport to begin a long-planned vacation. (It’s me; I’m some people).

Inside Terminal C at MCO Airport

Once you get off your plane and set foot in MCO, there are some things you should do immediately before heading off on the rest of your trip.

Go to the Bathroom

If you’re a similar flyer to me, heading to the restroom will be the first thing you NEED to do after a long flight.

However, given that many, MANY passengers from your flight are going to do the same thing, we’d recommend not going to the first bathroom you see (unless, you know, you…have to) and instead walking down the concourse a bit to a less crowded option.

Get a Sneak Peek at Merchandise

We know when you get off your plane, you’re probably going to want to get out of the airport ASAP. However, it may be a good idea to swing by one of the official Magic of Disney (located in Terminals B and C) and the Universal (Terminals A, B, and C) stores.

By doing so, you can get a sneak peek at what kind of merchandise will be available during your trip if you’re visiting one or both of the resorts, and what you may be missing out on if you’re only visiting one.

Know Where You’re Going

After you’ve picked up your checked bag, if you had one, it’s time to leave the airport…and to do so, you’ll need to know where you’re going! Renting a car? You’ll need to head down to level R1 or R2 (depending on the company you’re renting from) in Terminals A & B and levels C1 or C2 in Terminal C.

Have a shuttle booked to head to your destination? Head down to Level 1 from any terminal.

MCO transportation lines

Planning to use Uber, Lyft, or a similar rideshare service? You’ll need to head to Level 2 or 3 from Terminals A & B, and Level 6 at Terminal C.

Finally, if you’re planning to use the Brightline passenger rail service, head to the airport’s train station near Terminal C. Passengers arriving in Terminals A & B can access the station through the Terminal Link people mover system.
