Let’s eat!
Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby is now open at Downtown Disney, and we’re taking you along with us to try it for the first time. Should this new restaurant be at the top of your list when visiting? Let’s find out!
Right off the bat, we were in love with how open the space feels. It brings those California vibes in but serves classic British dishes, including some of Gordon Ramsay’s most famous dishes.

The terrace overlooks Downtown Disney and offers a great view of the fireworks on select nights.

Now that we know the menu, let’s eat!
First up, we started with the Parker Rolls for $14, which are warm brioche and whipped butter.

Parker Rolls
What a perfect way to start off our meal! These were warm, fluffy, and delicious. The brioche bread was buttery, with a slightly baked, crunchy outside and a moist, soft, flaky interior. There was also salt on top, and it felt seasoned to perfection. Everything paired really well with the butter, too.

SO fluffy
We couldn’t resist the Beef Wellington! This costs $73 and is served with potato puree, fresh herb salad, and a red wine demi.

Beef Wellington
The Beef Wellington is famous for a reason, and our reporter called it “utter perfection.” It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, then wrapped in a crispy puff pastry with mushroom duxelles and Dijon mustard. The red wine demi-glace poured over it complemented the dish and brought it together. We even loved the potato puree, which was like elevated mashed potatoes that went beautifully with the red wine demi as well.

Perfectly cooked
We also had the Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips for $33, which comes with triple-cooked chips, tartar sauce, and mushy peas.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips
The tartar sauce totally stole the show on this one! Without the sauce, we felt the breading on the fish was a little bland, and the fish itself was a little over-salted. It wasn’t quite our favorite, and the fries didn’t really stand out to us either. Now, once you add that tartar sauce, we did enjoy it, but we might opt for something else since there are so many fun things we want to try on the menu.

Flaky
Then we tried the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese for $16, which is one of the side options.
https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Magical Guides-Smoked-Gouda-Mac-Cheese-Gordon-Ramsay-At-The-Carnaby-Restaurant-Downtown-Disney-Photo-Jul-13-2026-7-03-57-PM-4032-x-3024-1-600x600.jpg
Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese
The mac and cheese felt elevated from your traditional mac and cheese with that smoked gouda flavor coming through. It has a thick, creamy texture that complements the perfectly cooked noodles. The gouda has that smoky flavor, but it’s not overpowering and pairs well with the rest of the sauce and noodles. Even once it cooled down, it stayed creamy and gooey, and our reporter said, “probably the best mac and cheese of my life.” Now that’s a huge compliment!

Digging in
Finally, we ended our meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding for $15. This is a warm date cake with ice cream, topped with toffee sauce.
https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Magical Guides-Sticky-Toffee-Pudding-Gordon-Ramsay-At-The-Carnaby-Restaurant-Downtown-Disney-Photo-Jul-13-2026-8-33-01-PM-4032-x-3024-1-700x525.jpg
Sticky Toffee Pudding
Now this is the perfect way to end the meal — seriously, don’t skip this one! It was insanely delicious. It was ooey and gooey, and an easy dessert to share at the table because it was so rich. The toffee sauce was served warm and complemented the cake, and the ice cream on top was just what it needed to tie it all up together in a delicious bow. Incredible.

Nosh or Not
You should head to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby if…
- You’re looking for a show-stopping meal — We were blown away by almost everything we ordered, and trust us, we eat a lot of Disney food! The restaurant truly blew away our expectations, and it is easily going to be near the top of our favorite Downtown Disney restaurants.
- You are a celebrity chef fan — If your family has watched every season of Hell’s Kitchen together, the restaurant can feel nostalgic. You can finally try all the dishes you’ve heard about on TV from Gordon Ramsay’s actual recipes, which can be a dream come true.
- You’re ready a more upscale meal and somehwere to relax — Disneyland can be full of chaos and running around and sometimes, it’s ncie to sit back and relax over a longer meal. It can be great for a special date night or celebration, or just when you need a few moments during your trip.
You might want to skip if…
- You prefer more affordable options — While we felt like the portion sizes were good for the dishes, it’s still a hefty price tag, especially for some of the more iconic dishes like Beef Wellington. The bill can easily add up for a party of two, so you can imagine what it is for the whole family.
- You’re not planning on dining in Downtown Disney — There are plenty of food options throughout Disneyland, and you might not want to leave the parks for a longer meal there. While Downtown Disney is nearby (unlike Disney Springs in Disney World), you can still lose precious park time that you might not be willing to spare.
- You have access to great British food — While it can feel special in America, if going back home means you already have your favorite fish and chip place, it might not be necessary to take the time to try food you can have at home.
