We’ll admit that we were really excited to learn that the Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa would finally be reopening this year after being closed since 2020 (we were starting to wonder if it would ever reopen).

We recently even got a reopening date (yes, it’s REALLY happening): March 19th. Disney even gave us a sneak peek at the restaurant, along with a look at the new Alice in Wonderland-inspired menu. Now, Disney has revealed the pricing for afternoon tea at Garden View Tea Room after it reopens.
Having afternoon tea at the reopened Garden View Tea Room will cost you a bit more (which is to be expected because it has been closed for almost six years, and we’ve seen NUMEROUS food and drink price increases since then). You’ll pay $79 per adult and $49 per child for afternoon tea service. This is more than what you would have paid before the restaurant closed.

However, this is still significantly cheaper than having afternoon tea at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk. There, afternoon tea will run you $95 per adult and $65 per child. Also, for comparison, breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom will run you $76 per adult and $47 per child, while lunch and dinner prices are $89 per adult and $54 per child. However, you also get a character dining experience and bigger food portions at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

So what will that price at Garden View Tea Room get you? You’ll get your choice of tea from Twining Loose Leaf Tea Selections, as well as a Disney World-exclusive tea, Orangery of Lady Grey. Cast Members will help you customize your tea choices with aromatics and sweeteners. Cocktails are also available. You’ll also be served three tiers of food, including savory tarts, rolls, and sandwiches, as well as Alice in Wonderland-inspired sweet treats.

The children’s tea will get special Alice in Wonderland-inspired sweet and savory treats.

Reservations for the Garden View Tea Room open on February 19th, so if you’re looking to book this experience, you’ll want to mark your calendar. We expect the tea room to be very busy for a while after it reopens.
We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney World restaurant updates, so stay tuned to Magical Guides for more.
