A number of Orlando restaurants recently faced temporary closures following inspections. Between July 27th and August 2nd, seven eateries had to shut their doors due to concerns raised by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Notably, two of these establishments, Latin Bistro Express and Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, are within a 15-minute radius of Walt Disney World.
Latin Bistro Express, located in Kissimmee, was temporarily closed on July 31st after an inspection uncovered 22 violations, including serious issues like raw chicken stored improperly, rodent activity, and an expired business license. A follow-up inspection on August 1st revealed fewer issues, allowing the restaurant to resume operations.
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, also in Kissimmee, was closed on July 28th due to 11 violations, among them roach activity and ineffective sanitizer strength. A re-inspection swiftly addressed these concerns, and the establishment has since reopened.
Both establishments have resolved their issues and are now serving customers again. What are your thoughts? What’s your favorite dining spot outside of Disney World? Share in the comments!
