So much is happening throughout Disney World that it’s hard to keep track of. There’s construction going on in three of the resort’s four theme parks, and several hotels also have some construction going on with new lobbies, room updates, and more.
Disney’s Beach Club
Well, we’ve got even MORE closures to add to the Disney World construction list. Two pools at two Disney World deluxe resorts will soon close for refurbishment.
Let’s start over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Now, don’t worry…Stormalong Bay is open, and it looks like it won’t be closing anytime soon. However, if you want a quieter pool experience at this resort, you might consider spending time at the Tidal leisure pool. But the Tidal leisure pool will be closing from mid-January through early May for routine maintenance. That means that you will probably see and hear general construction in that vicinity of the resort during daytime hours. The good news is that dining and resort amenities will remain the same.
Stormalong Bay and other pools will remain open
Note that Disney’s Beach Club Resort is also undergoing some exterior maintenance through late 2026, so you’ll have to deal with that construction, too. This will impact some views at the resort and may mean you have to take different paths to get around Beach Club.
Construction at the Beach Club
Over at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, the Turtle Pond Pool, Turtle Pond Pool Spa, the BBQ area, and the playground will be closed from early January through early February 2026 for routine maintenance. During this closure, guests at the resort are encouraged to use the Sandcastle Pool or one of Old Key West’s two leisure pools. Again, this means you might see and hear construction during daytime hours at the hotel.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures throughout Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned to Magical Guides to get all the updates.
