Isn’t it frustrating when you visit Disney World, and things are closed? Yep, it seems like Disney World is just nothing but a sea of construction now, especially with all the construction happening in Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Even Disney World hotels are under construction, with some getting new lobbies and rooms.

However, regular closures for maintenance are also still happening at Disney World hotels, and that often means pool closures. Well, we’ve got a pool closure and water play area closure to warn you about.
Over at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, the South Point Pool and Spa, the adjacent barbecue area, and playground will be closed for “routine maintenance” in late April. That means that hotel guests might see or hear construction noise during daytime hours. Those guests are also invited to use the Sandcastle Pool at the resort or one of the other two leisure pools, the Turtle Pond Pool and Miller’s Road Pool.

There will be some construction happening at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, too. The Fuentes Water Play Area is currently closed for “routine maintenance” and is expected to be closed through early March (so it could reopen any day now). However, if you’re visiting the hotel soon, you may see and hear construction noise. The Fuentes del Morro pool will still be open.

We know it’s hard to keep up with all the construction happening in Disney World, but we’ll do our best to keep you updated, so stay tuned to Magical Guides for more. You can also view a regularly updated list of all closures and refurbishments here.
Will these closures affect your next Disney World hotel stay? Let us know in the comments!
