This Buzz Lightyear isn’t flying; he’s falling, in style. Oh wait… no, he actually is flying!

Is it strange to obsess over a brand-new Buzz Lightyear toy? There’s no way we’re the only ones, right?! Well, even if we are, we won’t be after you check this out. Disney just released a new Buzz Lightyear toy that can LITERALLY fly…and I already know it’s going to make a dent in every single wall of my living room.
Forget falling in style, Disney released a brand-new Buzz Lightyear drone toy, and it’s flying from infinity and beyond. We didn’t think they would do it…but Disney did, and we’re thrilled about it!

This toy really is one of those “if you know, you know” situations. We don’t want to spoil too much about Toy Story 5, but the movie has been out for almost a month. So, if you haven’t seen it, what are you doing?! If you have seen Toy Story 5, you totally know why this toy is a thing now. SPOILER WARNING!

Drone Buzz Lightyear is the new and improved version of the classic Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 5. They show up at the very beginning of the movie, but you don’t find out that they’re drones until close to the end. It ends up being a pretty funny and important plot point.

Now, these real-life Buzz Lightyear drones might not have a hotspot like in the movie, but they can definitely fly. If you watched Toy Story 5 and thought to yourself, “I wish I could have one of these,” now’s your chance. They are available RIGHT NOW! Unfortunately, it’s only available on Disney Store UK…but this is our official beg for it to be available in the U.S.!

We know, we know, it almost seems too good to be true. Real-life Buzz Lightyear drones that we can own?! Take a look at this video below, and see for yourself!
It was only a matter of time until we’d start to see new merchandise inspired by Toy Story 5, because the movie has been super successful! The newest Pixar film made $300m globally in just its opening weekend, making it the largest opening the franchise has ever seen, and the second biggest opening this year globally.

As of July 9th, it’s made around $764 million globally, and it’s on track to crush the $1 billion mark. Fans love the new story and the nostalgia of seeing iconic characters once again. You can tell from the box office numbers, a Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 92%, and a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 95%.
