Let it go! Let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore…and neither can Disney because Frozen Ever After is closing down for a huge refurbishment.

Frozen Ever After is one of my favorite rides in all of EPCOT ever since it opened in 2016 (rest in peace Maelstrom), and I don’t care that it’s almost always busy — I can’t go to EPCOT and not ride it! I’m okay with skipping this ride for a bit because the updates are SO worth the closure.
Frozen Ever After will close on January 26th and will reopen sometime in February with updates to the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics. Everyone, say goodbye to the projected faces because we’re getting new animatronic faces that look more like the movies.

Right now, the faces are projected onto a blank space on the animatronic that you can see here:

After the update, they’re going to look like this! They look incredible!

If you’re coming to Disney World with a Frozen lover, you can still meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus wihch is next to the Frozen attraction in the Norway Pavilion. You’ll meet the sisters separately, but it’s all in the same line, so you can meet them back-to-back.
Hello, Elsa!
It’s also a great time to enjoy the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, which ends on February 23rd. This festival is sure to be kid-friendly, with chances to join in on an animation drawing class in the American Adventure Pavilion, draw pictures with chalk, and join in on a massive paint-by-number project.

There are also tons of different kinds of food that are bright and colorful, and some even have flavors that the whole family will love. One dessert we think kids will go wild over is the Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop with cotton candy sponge cake, white chocolate ganache, and colorful chocolate splats. It was light and not too sugary with fun Pop Rocks, too!

While we’re sad about the closure of Frozen Ever After, we’re so excited for the future that we’ll just count down the days until we can see our favorite Frozen friends in a new light (that’s not a projector light). Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for everything you need to know for your next Disney World vacation.
