Big day for Disney! They've rolled out their Q3 earnings report, unpacking quite a bit about their finances and tossing in some exciting sports-related updates.
First, ESPN is launching a Direct-to-Consumer service on August 21st. This new app promises to be a sports fan’s haven, bundling all ESPN’s networks with personalized features. Two plans are available: $29.99/month for unlimited access to all ESPN's content, or the same rate bundled with Disney+ and Hulu for the first year.
WWE fans, take note! From 2026, all WWE Premium Live Events will stream on ESPN platforms, including iconic events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
Lastly, Disney struck a major deal with the NFL to acquire the NFL Network and other assets, pending regulatory approval. This brings a lot more to ESPN's offerings.
