Exciting developments are underway at Disney's domestic parks!
Disney World and Disneyland are both seeing significant expansion projects, with notable progress being made. Recently, some key updates emerged through newly filed permits.
First, there's a permit from August for the new Tropical Americas-themed Pueblo Esperanza at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The permit is for "set elements" at the DINOSAUR attraction, with Mecca Productions, Inc. as the contractor. This may relate to minor updates as the ride is set to permanently close on February 2, 2026, in sync with the closure of DinoLand U.S.A.
In Disneyland, a significant permit was filed in October for a major transportation hub expansion on the resort's east side. This hub will add around 6,000 parking spaces and enhance accessibility with shuttle, rideshare, and security facilities, among other features.
Back at Disney World, updates on the anticipated Monsters, Inc. Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios include two permits filed for construction work on Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and Pizzerizzo. It appears Mama Melrose’s will transform into Harryhausen’s, as part of the new land featuring Disney's first suspended roller coaster and a theater show.
These expansions promise exciting adventures for Disney fans! What do you think of these projects? Drop your thoughts below!
