We love Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other Florida theme parks for their immersive themed experiences. But one Orlando experience stays just as immersive year after year, and it’s hiding at a hotel!

ice! featuring The Polar Express is an annual immersive Christmas experience held at Gaylord Palms in Orlando. Journey through captivating tunnels, zip down two-story ice slides, and capture the coolest pictures with your family at this iconic frozen attraction!

ice! featuring The Polar Express recreates 11 iconic scenes from The Polar Express film through ice sculptures. You’ll board The Polar Express to find dancing waiters made completely from ice, juggling cups of hot chocolate inside a Polar Express car made entirely out of ice. You can take your very own seat inside the frozen passenger car for a photo-op to the soundtrack of the iconic “Hot Chocolate” song.

For thrill seekers, you can zoom down one of five ice slides, including a 10-foot-tall slide and a kid-sized slide, beneath a towering sculpture of The Polar Express as the iconic train races through Glacier Gulch. Dramatic lighting and fog effects bring the scene to life for an immersive experience. And don’t forget to snap a pic with the train!

You’ll end your journey by reaching The North Pole to find Santa’s elves monitoring children around the world to see when they are naughty or nice! Plus, an 11-foot Santa Claus towers over you, presenting the first gift of Christmas: a silver bell from his sleigh. Do you hear the bells?

ice! featuring The Polar Express is coming back for its 24th year from Friday, November 13th, 2026, to Sunday, January 3rd, 2027. The resort is only 10 minutes north of Disney Springs if you’re adding it onto your Disney trip. If you’re running to book tickets like we are, head to Gaylord Palms’ website to purchase them. Tickets start at $33 per person, and children 3 and under get in for free. Gaylord Palms will provide a winter parka to walk through the 9° Fahrenheit ice display, but they still recommend wearing winter clothes.
