Tomorrow is a big day for Harry Potter fans, and we know that a lot of people who celebrate will be spending their Easter holiday sitting in front of the TV, potentially with other Potterheads.

The new HBO TV adaption of the series came out with its first trailer at the end of March, sparking much conversation and, in some cases, debates, among fans. The series itself will premiere this Christmas on HBO Max, so we’ve still got many months to go. However, to hold us over, there’s a documentary-style sneak peek that premieres TOMORROW, and we just know it’ll be a big hit.
Variety has reported that, premiering on HBO Max on April 5th, is none other than “Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic.” This goes through the making of season 1, which is currently still being filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K. You know what that means — behind the scenes means sneak peeks of what we’ll see IN the first season, and potentially beyond!

The trailer for the behind-the-scenes special features multiple different creators on the show working in their respective departments. We see camera operators catching students walking through the woods and castle, production designer Mara LePere-Schloop designing a small model as well as a large-scale set, and actors Janet McTeer (Minerva McGonagall) and Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape) discussing seeing some of the sets for the first time.
In the trailer, LePere Schloop says, “To be able to build at a scale like this, it’s just a designer’s dream. We’re trying to get in the joy and playfulness of what it means to be a magical kid. To play in a sandbox that’s this big, it’s incredible. We’re adding a level of world-building beyond what the audience is familiar with.”

The trailer closes out with John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore) growing emotional as he says, “You wait forever to do something that means that much to people.” You’ll need to have HBO Max to stream the special, as well as the new series when it releases this December.
