When I'm at Disney World, I often find myself with sore feet, sweaty skin, and battling humidity. Yet, I hope my seat might offer some comfort. But let’s be real, not every ride vehicle succeeds in that department!
Let’s talk about Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom—there's a big issue with their ride vehicles that can leave you quite uncomfortable!
First off, PeopleMover, you're wonderful and don't need to change a thing. You always deliver a smooth ride. Now, let’s move on to the rest of Tomorrowland's rides and why they could use some improvements.
TRON Lightcycle / Run may appear cool, but it’s not exactly body-friendly. If your calves aren’t fans of tight spaces, go in prepared because you might find the seating awkward, especially if you’re wearing a skirt or dress.
Space Mountain, the iconic ride, is remembered not just for its thrills but also for its challenging entry and exit process. Ouch! Navigating those narrow, torpedo-shaped seats can feel like an acrobatic task. Plus, where do we put our backpacks?
Tomorrowland Speedway adds to the chaos with its cramped vehicles that are tricky for adults to manage and let’s just say they aren’t known for their fresh scent. It’s a driving challenge that shouldn’t be so hard.
Astro Orbiter, you’re the one that really pushes it. The tight space inside those rockets tests personal boundaries, especially when riding with another adult. Trying it with my husband was difficult enough; I wouldn’t want to try it with just anyone!
As for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, it's under refurbishment, so there's hope for future improvements.
All in all, Astro Orbiter tops my list for the most uncomfortable ride, but thankfully we have PeopleMover to make up for some of it. Fellow Disney fans, don't forget good stretches before tackling these attractions!
