Disney’s Hollywood Studios will look totally different starting today! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is getting a massive upgrade with the addition of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
So many new themed merch items and snacks are being added to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, along with the new ride. And if you’ve been to Disney World when something is new, then you know what that means – crowds!
When we got to Hollywood Studios, the rope drop crowds were already lined up pretty deep at the entrance to Hollywood Studios. Yep, it’s going to be a busy day. Granted, entrance crowds are almost always a thing, but we think this is a little busier than normal.
Entrance crowds
Needless to say, it took us a hot minute to get into the park.
It’s busy
Back at Galaxy’s Edge, we headed to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and, let’s just say there were people…people EVERYWHERE waiting to get into the land at rope drop.

So here’s the thing. The ride’s opening was delayed at rope drop, so we had to wait about 15 minutes before it opened. When it did open, the wait time was 50 minutes. We’re guessing that’s going to go up as the day progresses.

There are some new pieces of merch in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, too, notably the Grogu Jetpack Sipper and BDX Droid Bucket. So we’re sure people will be trying to grab those quickly. There are also tons of new food items from the movie. You’ll want to check back with Magical Guides soon for ALL the reviews.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge changes. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World news!
