Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle
What started as AJ and a dream has now become a whole team, with writers and reporters in the parks 365 days a year (yes, we’re even working on the holidays), and millions of followers! We spend a lot of time reviewing Disney restaurants to help you make the best decisions for your Disney World vacation. There is a reason our followers trust us to give Disney planning advice, and we love to do it.

Recently, we had a reader, Erica, write in asking for a good recommendation for a first anniversary dinner with her husband at Disney World. Erica also shared “For context, his favorite food is burgers and pizza and mine is probably chicken nuggets and a crispy coke. We’re very ordinary people who never go out to fancy places”. When AJ threw this question out to our team we were quick to responsed because honestly — we LOVE talking about Disney food!
The Hollywood Brown Derby
So where did our team say? The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers was one of the top choices. While it is fancier than a quick service, we love the chicken tenders here! The menu has a ton of options, from sandwiches, salads, and burgers. The atmosphere is stunning here and would be a date night to remember.
We’ve found THE BEST chicken tenders on Disney World property!
Our team also agreed that Steakhouse 71 would be another great fit. It is home to one of our FAVORITE burgers at Disney World! This restaurant is more elevated, making it great for celebrating an anniversary. Don’t forget the delicious cocktails you can grab here as well.
Stack Burger
Finally, for something more lively and casual, Summer House on the Lake has gorgeous views at Disney Springs while also serving a very approachable menu. Plus, a stop at the cookie bar would be the perfect end to a date night!
