So you’re planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation soon, and have really been eyeing the Disney Treasure? We can’t blame you!
Disney Treasure Oceanview Staterooms
The Treasure is one of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships, and though it began sailing in 2024, it’s still one of the hottest ships to book. We got a chance to sail on it for its inaugural trip, so we know firsthand just how special it really is. If you’re planning to set sail on board, it’s important to know that out of the hundreds of staterooms on board, these 185 staterooms are bound to go the quickest.
There are four levels of cabins on the Disney Treasure. From least expensive to most expensive, they are Interior, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge. Inside each of those categories, there are more subcategories, such as deluxe vs. regular, but at the end of the day, if you’re looking to book one of the 185 Oceanview staterooms on board, we’ve noticed that they sell out the fastest.
Oceanview Stateroom
Take the next two sailings coming up for the Disney Treasure, at the time of writing. For one sailing, both Interior and Oceanview staterooms are sold out, but for the second, it’s only Oceanview. To break these down further, 100 of the Oceanview rooms are considered Deluxe Oceanview Cabins, while 85 are Deluxe Family Oceanview Cabins. In comparison, there are 123 Standard Interior Cabins on board. We also feel it’s important to note that, while they are the second most expensive cabins on board, there are a whopping 877 Verandah cabins on board, which means there’s a balcony (494 of them are Deluxe Balcony Cabins while 383 of them are Deluxe Family Balcony Cabins).

What does that all mean? Well, it means that part of the reason Oceanview staterooms sell out faster is due to the fact that they make up less than half of the staterooms available on board. Why do they often sell out faster than Interior cabins, though, which have even fewer and are the cheapest of the bunch? Well, because there are many travelers who struggle with claustrophobia, and being in an Interior cabin with no view outside is not how a lot of people want to spend their cruise. Even if a phobia isn’t in the picture, lots of travelers want to be able to look out at the ocean and enjoy the view as they sail, which can’t be done with an Interior room. Sure, you can do that with a Verandah room, but those are often hundreds of dollars more expensive than Oceanview, so if the view is really all you’re looking for (especially since many people only spend time in their cabin to sleep, since there’s so much to do on the ship), Oceanview is the way to go.

Now, if you’re looking to sail on the Treasure, or any Disney Cruise Line ship in general, and you want the room that’s the cheapest, an Interior room will be a good fit. Again, it’s incredibly important to keep in mind the needs of your group, as some people may struggle with not having any view to outside (though the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy cruise ships do have digital portholes inside their Interior staterooms, which are personally my favorite things ever), and there’s nothing worse than being on vacation and realizing you, or someone in your group, is NOT having a good time.
