Choosing a Disney World hotel can be confusing because there are SO many hotels to choose from with a variety of price points, amenities, and offerings. That can be even harder if you’re traveling with your family…you want a resort that everyone in the family can enjoy, regardless of age.
Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside
Well, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside might just be exactly what you’re looking for because it’s great for families, but the Magnolia Bend section of the resort also recently got brand new rooms. And we’re going to give you a tour of one of those new rooms to show you what it looks like now.
The rooms at Magnola Bend at Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort sleep up to four with two queen beds and now have lots of new details from The Princess and The Frog. We visited one of the new rooms from Cool KIDS’ Summer, so the room was also completely decked out with some special amenities. The beds feature gorgeous murals of the bayou behind them, but we also love the addition of Bluey and Bingo for Cool Kids’ Summer. There’s also a table between the beds with a phone, and a Hey, Disney Alexa Voice Assistant.
Murals behind beds
You’ll also find artwork and photos on the walls featuring Tiana’s Place, Tiana’s parents…

…Lottie, Tiana and Naveen, and more. Some of these portraits are above the room’s small table and chairs in the far corner. You can request a Diaper Genie in your room, too, if you need one, this summer.
Love the art!
Note that you can get a nightlight if you need one, which is especially good if you’ve got kids in your group.
Perfect if you’ve got kids
Rooms also come with a coffee bar setup with a Cuisinart coffee maker, as well as an assortment of coffee, tea, creamer, and sweetener. During Cool Kids’ Summer, you can also request a bottle warmer.

The bathrooms have also been completely renovated.
New bathrooms
There’s even a pull-out stepstool for little ones.
Stepstool
Another amenity you can request is an infant bathtub.
Bath Seat
Other items you can request for your room this summer include bed bumpers, Pack ’n Plays, cribs, and more.

These new rooms are perfect for families, so if you’re looking for a place for you and your family to stay this summer in Disney World, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside might be just what you’re looking for.

Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of Cool KIDS’ Summer at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside.
