Disney is about to unveil its newest addition, the Beak and Barrel lounge, opening on August 29, 2025, at Magic Kingdom. This unique dining spot adds to the Pirates of the Caribbean storyline, promising an original experience.

Inside, guests will discover a captivating narrative featuring Captain Meridian "Merry" Goldwyn and her first mate, Rummy, who oversees the lounge. With its family-friendly menu, the lounge offers appetizing choices for all ages, alongside refreshing cocktails for adults.

We had a chance to try some intriguing offerings, starting with the Plunderer's Punch ($46.00), showcasing The Kraken Black Spiced Rum in a souvenir pirate skull mug. The fruit-forward tropical drink has a subtle hint of rum. We also sampled non-alcoholic options, like the creamy, cookie-laden Cursed Treasure ($7.75) and the ube-centric Treasure Trove ($13.75), each with unique flavor profiles.

For something savory, the Island Provisions ($16.00) included plantain chips and blue corn tortillas with four distinct dips: mango chutney, garlic chimichurri, spiced guava, and zesty culantro cream. The excitement doesn't end there; there's a range of creative cocktails and other tempting dishes on the menu.

With just a 45-minute limit per visit, advance dining reservations are advised to make the most of your experience. What are your thoughts on this new theme and menu offerings at Disney? Drop your opinions in the comments!
