REVIEW: We Have Big Feelings About This $6 Cheesecake

Is there anything sweeter than dining in Disney World? We mean that literally because we’re talking desserts.

The Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake


There are classics like the iconic Dole Whip, and there are new bites like the ever-rotating options at the Cake Bake Shop Bakery. Sometimes the best desserts are hidden away at Disney resorts, so we recently stopped by Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort to see if this new bite would be a hidden gem or a total skip!

Saratoga Springs is located in the Disney Springs Resort area. There are several restaurants to check out at this spot, like the Turf Club Bar and Grill and Chip ‘n Dale’s Cafe. One of our favorite spots is The Artist’s Palette, which is the resort’s quick service!

During our stop at the quick service, we tried out the new Strawberry Shortbread Cheesecake for $6.29! This had a thick piece of cheesecake as the base with whipped cream, strawberries, strawberry sauce, and a Mickey shortbread cookie on top.

The Strawberry Shortcake Cheese!


This “no-bake” style cheesecake was filled with a strawberry sauce. Add that together with the strawberries on top, and this is a strawberry lover’s dream. The cheesecake itself was very soft but held its shape well. The sauce inside helped to balance the cheesecake’s sweetness because it was slightly bitter, but not in an off-putting way.

We would have preferred a little texture on the bottom, like a graham cracker crust, but we will admit it still satisfied our sweet tooth. The strawberry flavors did lean a little artificial, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The portion size was decent for the price. While we did enjoy it, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend going out of your way just for this snack!
