Four years ago, EPCOT welcomed one of Disney World's most distinctive dining experiences: Space 220. This restaurant offers a thrilling journey on a space elevator, leading you to a dining area with expansive views of the cosmos and clever Easter eggs. Space 220 features both a prix fixe menu and a lounge, which we recently visited during a special media event for its fourth anniversary. We got an exclusive preview of upcoming food and drinks available in the lounge, launching October 1st.
Among the new offerings is the intriguingly named Cosmic Lobster Bao, combining lobster, celery, chive, and lime mayo—it's quite the showstopper! Then there's the DLR Curry Wurst, featuring juicy bratwurst topped with sweet curry ketchup and served with crispy fries. The Solar Flare Pork Belly with spiced apple sauce and pickled radish delivers a flavorful punch, just as the Astro Cluck and Comet Crisp spices things up with buttermilk fried chicken, waffle, and spicy maple syrup.
Interestingly, the Saturn Reuben Sandwich offers a cosmic twist on a classic, with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing, and rye bread. The macaron-inspired Blue Moon Cauliflower remains a fan favorite with its tempura batter and housemade hot sauce. And don't miss the Gamma Burst Cocktail, a sweet and fruity mix for those who enjoy a refreshing sip.
In desserts, Flight 220 presents an interstellar trio: Cosmic Cheesecake, Cookies and Cream Macaron, and Strawberry Saturn. These treats not only taste heavenly but are also visually stunning.
Trying out the lounge gives you a taste of Space 220's atmosphere without needing to dive into a full-course meal. And let's face it, who can resist trying out those new bites? Share your thoughts and previous experiences at Space 220. Would these new items tempt you into a visit?
