It’s the end of 2025, and we’re celebrating the best way we know how — with food! We love seasonal snacks, and Disney dropped a few for us to try, and we’re sharing all the details here with you.

Countdown to Midnight Cake Bar
We headed to Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs to try the snacks and ring in the new year.
First up, we have the Happy “Root Beer” Float for $7.59 at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom. This is root beer with vanilla soft serve, chocolate cookie biscuit “sparkler,” and shimmery sprinkles.

Happy “Root Beer” Float
While this isn’t the most unique treat we’ve ever had in our lives, there is nothing wrong with a classic root beer float! This snack had familiar flavors with the creamy, smooth vanilla soft serve, and the root beer flavor that reminded us of the Dum Dum lollipops. The sprinkles were a fun touch, and the cookie “sparkler” tasted like a chocolate chip, which made it a bit more unique. We wouldn’t go out of our way to get it, but if you’re already looking for ice cream in the Tomorrowland area, this isn’t a bad choice, especially if you plan on sharing it with the family. You can grab it till January 3rd.

We also grabbed the Countdown to Midnight Cake Bar for $8.75 at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. It’s chocolate chiffon with chocolate mousse and mini chocolate chips.

Countdown to Midnight Cake Bar
Before we get too far, let us say YUM! This thing is so dang good! Our reporter called it a Mickey ice cream bar without the ice cream. The chocolate tasted similar but a bit darker, where it was teetering on the dark chocolate side, but still had the rich, milk chocolate taste. The actual cake was like a cake mix before it fully firms, where it’s almost mushy but still easy to bite into. It held up well in the sun and heat (yes, it’s still warm in December in Orlando), and we seriously could not get enough. Everyone else felt the same because they were almost sold out, so if you’re going to grab this, go closer to when Amorette’s opens. It will be available until January 1st.
