Calling all sushi lovers who are on their Disney World vacation! You’re going to want to hear about this.
Morimoto Asia Street Food
The Sushi Showdown is coming to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs, and it’s bringing together some of the most talented sushi chefs in the city to see who will take home the gold. The Orlando sushi scene is only a couple of months away, and we have the details for you.
Some of the top Orlando chefs will be heading to Morimoto Asia for a sushi showdown. Each chef will create both a signature sushi with rice and a cooked small plate using the same featured fish. The showdown will take place on September 21st. Session one will be from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and session two will be from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

At the event, you can vote for your favorite dish! Taste the creations and decide who deserves the gold award. The experience will also include an add-on beverage package including sake pairings from Dassai, Hakkaisan, Kubota, Nanbu Bijin, and Soto.

You’ll be able to cast your vote with a gold coin, enjoy entertainment from the DJ, and attend the live auction with 100% of the proceeds going to Give Kids the World. Give Kids the World is a nonprofit resort providing cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families.

If you’re interested in the experience, general admission is $125 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For a limted VIP spot, it’s $700 per booth up to 4 guests, plus tax and gratuity. You can also get the $25 beverage package as an add-on.
