If you’re a former Disney Channel kid, then all of these recent reboots are probably giving you life. Between the new seasons of Phineas and Ferb, the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, and the upcoming Camp Rock 3, the past few years have been so nostalgic. But Disney just announced a new movie that will be not only super nostalgic, but cheetah-licious!

Disney just greenlit the long-awaited The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen film! Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie.
The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen will star Raven-Symoné, returning as Galleria, and Adrienne Bailon as Chanel. Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter are set to reprise their roles as Dorothea and Juanita, with a special appearance by Sabrina Bryan as Dorinda. Kiely Williams is not attached to the film at this time.

In The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen, Cheetah Girls Galleria (Symoné) and Chanel (Bailon) accompany Galleria’s daughter Faith and her three friends, who travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Along the way, these four teen girls test their friendship, find their voice, and discover the true Cheetah spirit as they save the preserve and ultimately take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls!

Joining the iconic Disney franchise is Leah Sava Jeffries, known for playing Annabeth in 2023’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians, as Galleria’s daughter Faith. Carmen Sanchez of Disney’s Electric Bloom will star as Chanel’s sister, Dior, alongside newcomers Kaileen Chang as Ruby, Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn, and Kamogelo Ramashala as Kendi, who form the next generation of The Cheetah Girls. Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill and Chicago P.D. will play the supporting role of Jennifré.

The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen has been confirmed to hit both Disney Channel and Disney+ upon release. Production on the film will begin in late July in South Africa. The Cheetah Girls executive producer, Debra Martin Chase, is returning to co-executive produce with Raven Symoné.
