It's an exciting time to go, with the chance to experience the revamped Wicked: The Experience and the much-anticipated Epic Universe—it's truly living up to its name. Plus, the holiday decorations and a chance encounter with the Grinch add to the fun.
However, if you're visiting next week with plans to ride the Hogwarts Express, you might be in for a disappointment. Hogwarts Express, linking Hogsmeade in Universal Islands of Adventure to Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida, will temporarily close starting December 3rd. This popular ride, known for its immersive simulation of a journey between the wizarding sites, is slated for maintenance. It’s a bummer but necessary for upkeep and likely won’t stay closed for long.
In the meantime, park hopping will require a visit to the front gates, which, while less thrilling, gets the job done. Another closure is expected from February 9th to 23rd, 2026—something to consider if planning a visit during that time.
