We recently popped by Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in EPCOT's Norway Pavilion to check out one of its signature snacks. The Norwegian Kringla, which gives the bakery its name, has been a staple here for decades. We wondered if it still lived up to the hype on our latest visit.
The Kringla—a soft, pretzel-shaped pastry with sweet fondant, raisins, and chocolate topping—is priced at $7.49. Notably, the almond version is no longer on the menu, focusing exclusively on the chocolate version. Surprisingly, this streamlining might have improved the dish. The Kringla felt fresher than ever, with a perfect texture—soft as a pillow and without any staleness.
The fluffy bread, shaped like a pretzel and studded with sweet raisins, was then topped with white and milk chocolate. The result was a beautifully balanced treat that didn't overwhelm with sugar but satisfied with its natural sweetness.
Overall, it seems the Kringla has made a strong comeback, possibly better than it has been in years. If you haven't checked out the Norway Pavilion lately, it might be time to add it to your EPCOT visit checklist.
Have you tried the revamped Kringla? Share your thoughts below! I’m curious to see if others are as thrilled as I am.
