Epic Universe has sparked a lot of conversation since its grand opening in May 2025. Recently, the park has announced changes to its rules, we've indulged in countless delicious treats, and we've been uncovering every secret and tip.

As we approach 2026, Universal's latest statement suggests the parks might see even bigger crowds in the upcoming year. Universal confirmed that they haven't yet filled the park to its full capacity, meaning current crowds are less than what the park can hold.

Mike Cavanagh, president of Comcast, mentioned that they've been intentionally keeping attendance low to ensure a quality experience. However, they plan to increase capacity soon. This might make wait times more reasonable, considering rides like Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry currently have waits of up to 150 minutes, with Mario Kart and Mine Cart Madness topping 170+ minutes.

While they haven't specified when they will lift the capacity cap, the shift is predicted to happen in 2026. It's exciting to think of the changes ahead, especially since the entire Universal resort is thriving with the park's addition.

What do you think about the limited capacity strategy? Share your thoughts! Have you already visited Epic Universe, or is it on your list for 2026?
