If you’re flying through Orlando International Airport (MCO) in 2025, you'll notice some significant updates to the security process. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has introduced new rules to make your travel smoother, including scrapping the long-standing shoe removal during screening.

Families with kids under 12 can now use dedicated lanes called "Families on the Fly," eliminating the need for pre-registration. There's even a $15 discount for TSA PreCheck, and Gold Star families can access it for free. Moreover, U.S. military members and their families have access to “Honor Lanes,” a free fast-track PreCheck option that can be done on-site if needed.

A major change includes the strict enforcement of the REAL ID rule starting May 2025, so make sure to double-check your ID. New packing rules also apply: cordless curling or flatirons with butane, and spare cartridges, are banned from checked baggage. Anything with lithium-ion batteries must be placed in carry-ons.

These updates are designed to significantly ease the travel process. What are your thoughts on these changes? Drop your opinions in the comments below! Are there additional TSA changes you'd like to see? Share your ideas!
